I want to ask President Obama why he didn't give all the bail out money to the American people?
If he would have given all the Americans (who make under $150K per year),the $150K, we could have paid off our mortgages, and purchased a vehicle.
That would have bailed out the banks and the Automobile factories, and they would have had to work for it as all the rest of us have had to.
If we didn't have a house payment or a car payment, we could have had the money to have a new roof put on our house, which would have helped out the roofing trade.
We could have purchased a new computer, or refridgerator, which would have helped out the electronics trade.
Giving the money to the American people would have jumped started the economy much better than just giving the money to the huge corporations whom showed up with their hands out in their private planes and partying in the best hotels.
That would have been like me showing up for welfare in my Lexis dripping in diamonds!
Some people say they could have used the money for drugs or alcohol.
Well they could have sent 2 debit cards, one to be used for the auto dealership, and one to be used for a mortgage.
If their house was already paid off, they could have purchased one of the forclosed homes to rent out at an affordable price to those whom couldn't afford a home. Or they could've used it to house the homeless.
